The season 5 winner of The Voice is Tessanne Chin of Team Adam!
The 28-year-old singer, originally from Jamaica, walked away with a “life-changing experience”, a recording contract, and a collaboration with Ryan Tedder of OneRepublic. Talk about a lot for one evening. Chin burst into tears after she was announced as the winner. Her coach, Adam Levine, presented her with a trophy as her husband and mother joined her onstage.
Chin performed Whitney Houston’s “I Have Nothing” the night before voting took place, impressing her coach (and apparently the rest of America). “You are just capable of anything and it blows me away,” Levine had said.
The other two finalists were Will Champlin (also of team Adam) and Jacquie Lee of Team Christina.
