For example, did you know that in Catalonia, Spain, a popular Nativity figure is a man…taking a poop? In Caracas, Venezuela, residents prefer to skate to Midnight Mass instead of driving, because the streets are closed between December 16th to December 24th. But the strangest tradition of all doesn’t come from the Hispanic world…it comes from Japan. The most popular Christmas meal? A bucket of Kentucky Fried Chicken.
