The NYPD has hit an all-time low with this latest lawsuit, and if there’s any validity to it, they’re in big trouble.

The NY Daily News is reporting that there is currently a class-action lawsuit against the NYPD because they didn’t provide translators, mocked the Spanish language, and arrested the abused in domestic violence calls involving Spanish-speaking victims. Legal Services NYC filed the lawsuit on behalf of five immigrants and the Latina nonprofit Violence Intervention Program. In one extreme case, an immigrant woman was almost beaten to death by her ex-husband, against whom she had an order of protection. When she called the police, they instead handcuffed her, charged her with a crime, and she eventually plead guilty to disorderly conduct. Her ex, meanwhile, was not charged with any crime.
